ABUS COWM510 Carbon Monoxide Detector Carbon monoxide is an invisible and odourless gas and therefore so dangerous. It can escape anywhere where combustion devices such as open fireplaces, gas boilers, instantaneous water heaters or oil heaters are standing. When inhaling the gas, symptoms of poisoning occur that range from dizziness to headaches to loss of consciousness and can even lead to death. To be alerted in time when the deadly gases escape, there is the ABUS COWM510 CO detector. It is suitable for private households and should find a place at least anywhere where combustion facilities are available without a flue or with open flue. In normal state, the display does not show anything. If small amounts of gas are already leaked and are in the room air, the CO detector alerts by an 85 decibel alarm sound and the red LED light flashes (every 5 seconds). Now the carbon monoxide concentration can be read on the LCD display of the detector. The green, red and yellow LEDs as well as the display allow you to detect other conditions such as low battery level, malfunctions or the end of the sensor life. But not only the many functions of the detector, but also the simple design can be easily integrated into the living space.
