This Browning FBE920 series flange unit has a cast iron housing with four bolt holes, contact seals, and double set screw locking collars. This non-expansion-type bearing unit is designed for mounting onto bearing surfaces perpendicular to the shaft axis. The ASTM International A48 grade 30 gray cast iron housing is rigid and dampens vibration, and its four bolt holes provide mounting stability. The double-row, spherical roller bearing insert is rated "heavy duty" for applications with heavy combined radial and thrust loads. The bearing is self-aligning and accommodates misalignments between the shaft and the housing. Contact seals with flingers on both sides of the bearing protect against contaminants and retain lubricant applied at manufacture. The bearing has collars that extend from each end of the inner ring and lock onto the shaft with two set screws spaced 120 degrees apart for a three-point contact hold. This bearing unit has a grease fitting on the housing outer surface for reapplying lubricant.
