Evan Designs Fire Truck SirenThis Fire Truck Siren has 2 realistic sounds digitally recorded from an in-service Fire Engine. The soundtrack includes a long wail with intermittent bursts of air horn. You can listen to the siren in the video near the reviews section of this listing, or by searching “Evan Designs fire truck siren” on YouTube.Dimensions:The siren’s circuit board is 3/4 inch long (20 mm), 7/16th inch wide (11 mm) and less than 1/4 inch thick (5 mm).The speaker is 1.4 inches (36 mm) in diameter, and 1/4 inch tall (6 mm).The siren speaker is wired 7 inches from the circuit board. The power leads are 8 inches long.Includes a battery strap with 2 on/off switches (shown in the photos). One switch to control the siren, and the other switch is for any LED lights or other 9 volt accessories you want to add (lights not included).Powering your siren:The siren can be run on a 9 volt battery using the included battery strap connector, or on any 9-12 volt regulated DC adapter.Note: Not suitable for outdoor use. (Larger speaker options coming soon.)If you do want to use this outdoors, you can solder the 2 speaker wires to a larger speaker. If you find the larger speaker causes your batteries to die more quickly, you can connect the siren directly to the vehicle’s battery as long as it does not run at more than 12 volts. Often times batteries will be 1-2 volts higher than the value listed on the battery when the motor is running. In this case, you will also need to add a small resistor to the red power lead of around 100 Ohms.100% Satisfaction Guaranteed! If you have any issues, please contact us so we can make it right!
