Bundle include 5 Lbs of ER70S-6 1/8" x 18" Welding Filler Rods and TIG Welding Tungsten Electrode 2.0% Thoriated Rod (Red, EWTh20) 10-Pack (3/32 inchx 7inch). The thoria is responsible for increasing the usable life of these electrodes over the EWP electrodes because of higher electron emission, better arc starting and arc stability. The higher thoria content in the EWTh-2 electrode causes the operating characteristic improvements to be more pronounced than in the lower thoria content EWTh-1.
- ER70S-6 1/8" x 18" - 1 Lb packaged in tube, primarily used for single-pass welding of killed, semi-killed, and rimmed steels
- Because of the added deoxidants, these filler metals can be used for welding steels that have a rusty or dirty surface
- 500 MPa level carbon steel filler metal, can be used in the welding of carbon steel and low alloy steel in the corresponding strength grade, which can be used in engineering machinery, ship, vehicle manufacturing, petrochemical and other industries
- Red Tungsten normally use for welding copper alloys, nickel alloys, titanium alloys, and stainless steel
- Red Tungsten generally have longer life and provide greater resistance to tungsten contamination of the weld
