These are subsequently induction hardened to achieve industry-leading hardness of HRC 64.The tool features a compound-lever design using two distinct pivot points. These multiply the hand force applied by 22 times at the cutting edge, reducing operator fatigue, especially with constant use.The cutting capacity of the plier is 2.0 mm diameter for piano wire, 2.5 mm diameter for hard wire and 4.0 mm diameter for soft wire. The tool is 160 mm long, and has a 14 mm jaw opening and 9 mm jaw width. Its handles have soft plastic grips for added comfort.Built To LastLike all Maun tools, this cutter is built to last. It is constructed with blackened steel jaws that are induction hardened to HRC 64 for durability. To protect against rust, the handles are zinc plated.
