HIstory of this (empty) box is unknown.
Found at an estate sale with other military items from WWII - Vietnam era.
I do know this box was repurposed for use as a first aid kit. There were two partial contact lists inside that lead me to believe this was used in a local business. The contents inside (not included) were from the early-mid 60's.
The webbing and handle appear original to the box.
The paint job does not appear to be original/professional.
Unless a field paint job to appear as a medic? Just do not have enough information.
The previous owner possibly stripped the original paint and repainted it orange/white.
They also possibly plugged a hole at the top inside (shown last photo). Possible a hole for electrical?
The previous owner served and their name is on the case.
Case is appx. 15" wide x 12" tall x 4 1/2 deep.
Has discoloration, scratches, staining, medicine smell and other signs of wear.
We quickly cleaned it but it needs a deeper cleaning.
